Scriptopia Privacy Policy

Scriptopia (“Scriptopia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers an AI-assisted creative and analytical platform for screenwriters, vertical-drama creators and film/television creators, including script writing, adaptation, Script Doctor, Breakdown Lab, curated studies, a script-resource library, storyboard planning, Trending Charts and related tools. This Privacy Policy describes how Scriptopia processes personal information collected through scriptopia.ai, related applications, APIs, tools, customer support, marketing activities and other services linked to this Policy (collectively, the “Service”).

The controller of the personal information described in this Policy is the independent developer who operates Scriptopia. Privacy requests: privacy@scriptopia.ai.

• Account/authentication data such as email, display name, locale, OAuth identifiers and security events;
• project and User Content such as scripts, canon, characters, episodes, prompts, uploaded media/subtitles/scripts and analysis results;
• usage and technical data such as features, jobs, model/token/Credit usage, device, browser, logs, IP and security signals;
• billing data such as plan, order IDs, amount and status; payments are processed by Paddle, and we do not receive or store full card numbers, security codes or payment-account passwords;
• support, feedback and referral data.

Data supports accounts, project storage, AI/ASR/vision jobs, billing and Credits, support, security, fraud prevention, debugging, Trending Charts, compliance, evaluation and product improvement. Depending on the law that applies to you, we rely on performance of our contract with you, legal obligations, legitimate interests or your consent, and we ask for separate consent where required.

Breakdown media is supplied by users. Raw media is stored privately, accessed through short-lived links and deleted under our retention policy. Structured results, project data and audit records may be retained longer. User uploads do not automatically enter public studies or the Script Library.

Scriptopia may process public-domain, licensed, creator-authorized or legitimately sourced scripts and related materials for curated studies, evaluation and product research where permitted. Hosting, public display, internal evaluation and training permissions are tracked separately. Public accessibility is not the same as public-domain status.

Necessary task context may be sent to AI, ASR, cloud storage, database, payment, email and monitoring providers. We send only the context needed for each task. Orders and payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd.), our online reseller and Merchant of Record, which handles your payment and order information under the Paddle Privacy Policy.

Data Contribution is off: we do not use your scripts, projects or other User Content to train AI models. We may use records about AI jobs, such as apply or reject decisions, edit and quality signals and error rates, to evaluate and improve the Service. If we later offer Data Contribution for model training, it will be optional and off by default, will be used only after you give separate, explicit consent, and can be withdrawn in Settings. Contribution never publishes private content to other users.

Necessary cookies/local storage may maintain sessions, language and security state, and product analytics may support reliability and feature improvement. Any future non-essential advertising or cross-site tracking will require applicable consent or opt-out controls.

Data may be disclosed to contracted providers as necessary to operate the Service, or for legal, anti-fraud, rights-protection or corporate-transaction purposes. Servers and providers may operate outside your country; where the law requires, we provide notice, obtain consent or apply other appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Account/project data is retained while needed to provide the Service; raw Breakdown media is kept for a shorter period; billing, anti-fraud, copyright and security records may be retained longer where required.

Depending on location, you may have rights to access, export, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, portability and other statutory choices. You can export data, delete your account or turn off Data Contribution in Settings, and send other privacy requests to privacy@scriptopia.ai.

We protect data with least-privilege access, row-level security, encrypted transport, private storage, short-lived access links, secret management, audit logs and rate limits, although no online service can be completely secure. Scriptopia is designed for adult creators and professional users and is not directed to users below the applicable digital-consent age.

For material changes, we will notify you in the product or by email and ask for renewed consent where required.
